Marilu Marcillo '90
Professor and Dean of the School of Business and Information Sciences, Felician University
Dr. Marcillo is a full professor and Dean of the School of Business & Information Sciences at Felician University. With a strong background in Business Ethics, micro-lending, and sustainability, she has dedicated her career to empowering women and promoting diversity. Before joining Felician, she held leadership roles at Saint Peter's University. Dr. Marcillo is a recipient of the "Mujeres Brillantes" award and has been recognized for her leadership in higher education.
Prior to her academic career, Dr. Marcillo spent 16 years working in corporate roles at 3M, ADP, and Jostens. This experience has provided her with a unique perspective on business practices and challenges. She is committed to fostering sustainable business practices and empowering employees, particularly women and marginalized groups.
Dr. Marcillo has served on the board of directors for the LINDA foundation and the Elevate+ organization, both of which are dedicated to helping women and marginalized people improve their lives. She has also worked with the United Nations office of El Salvador as a special envoy for Education & Social Entrepreneurship. Additionally, she has been a HISPA role model, encouraging middle school children to pursue higher education in STEM.
Dr. Marcillo graduated from Alfred University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has earned both a master’s in business administration and a doctorate of Management. Her academic achievements and professional experience have positioned her as a leading expert in her field.
